Atari Teenage Riot

Check out the ’90s digital techno band at Red 7, doors at 8 pm.  Tickets are $20 and you can buy them here.


Synth-rock band Ratatat hits up Stubb’s tonight.  Doors at 6:30 pm, but tickets are sold out.  Check Craigslist if you need some.

Rock’n Ron-athon Benefit with Eric Johnson, David Grissom, Malford Milligan, Ian McLagan

It’s happening at Antone’s, doors at 6:30 pm.  Tickets are $25, $50 for VIP.  Pick them up here.

Fans and friends are invited to an Austin ALL Star Musician Line-Up at Antones, on Monday September 27, 2010. The event is to help support Ron Condon of Austin Speaker Works, local musician, husband and father, with the multitude of medical expenses resulting from his 20 + year battle with severe Crohns Disease.

Kat Edmonson

Kat plays the Cactus Cafe for 2 nights.  The cost is $15, $10 with UT student ID.  Doors at 8:30 pm.

The “Texican” band plays a FREE show at Waterloo tonight, doors at 5 pm.

Downtown Live Featuring The Trishas

The FREE series at the Belmont features The Trishas this week.  Doors at 7:00 pm.


The legendary underground slacker band plays at Stubb’s tonight.  Tickets are sold out (duh), so Craigslist will be your friend.  Doors at 7:30 pm.

The Midgetmen– Pavement Aftershow

The self-billed “slop punk mavens” of Austin take the honor of playing Pavement’s aftershow indoors at Stubb’s.  Doors at 10 pm, tickets are $8.  Buy them here.

Raul Malo

Another FREE show at Waterloo tomorrow evening.  Doors at 5 pm.

Michael Franti & Spearhead with Tamarama

See Michael Franti bring his happy, uplifting tunes to Stubb’s on Wednesday.  Doors at 7 pm, tickets are $28.  You can buy them here.

Guitar Wolf

Check out Japanese rock band Guitar Wolf at Mohawk.  Doors at 7 pm.  Tickets are $13 and you can get them here.

Thursday, September 30th


One of the best bargains you’re going to find will be for this show indoors at Stubb’s on Thursday.  It’s only $3!  Doors at 9:30 pm.  Tickets sold at the door, so get there early.

Guided By Voices with Times New Viking

GBV is touring with the 1992-1996 reunited lineup.  They’ll be at the East Side Drive-In, doors at 7 pm.  Tickets are $20 and you can buy them here.

KGSR’s Unplugged at the Grove with The Gourds

See The Gourds play an unplugged set for FREE at Shady Grove this Thursday.  Be there at 8 pm.

Represent Austin Presents: The Artificial Heart Vinyl Release with Built by Snow, Magnet School & All the Elements That Make the Earth

Night of the Moustache

It’s happening at the Ghost Room, featuring Kevin McKinney’s Smoke Machine, ‘Til We’re Blue or Destroy and Cover Girl.  Doors at 8 pm.

Team Spiridon invites you to a night of moustache-wearing fun as three of Austin’s best bands serenade. Proceeds will benefit Austin-area animal welfare organizations such as Emancipet, Austin Pets Alive, and Animal Trustees of Austin. Good times for a good cause!
