Katie Gray with Abandoned Warehouse, Luke James, Consider the Source & Boosy Cray

Singer-songwriter tunes at Momo’s tonight.  The music starts around 6:30 pm and the cover is $5.

The BeatNox with Kwestro, PCG, Rockwell & BoomBaptist

The BeatNox is a night of hip-hop & downtempo grooves from Austin’s finest music producers. The night consists of emerging and established music producers showcasing non-stop hard knocking beats from the basement to the streets. This first installment of the BeatNox will be classic!

It’s happening at Plush, tonight at 10 pm, and it’s FREE!

Austin Blues Society Blues Jam

Every Monday Night the Austin Blues Society hosts an OPEN BLUES JAM at Antone’s Nightclub!  $4 cover for ABS Members,  $5 cover GA, FREE FOR JAMMERS!  Sign ups begin at 7pm.

Tuesday, September 14th

The Black Angels

One of the don’t-miss events of the week is The Black Angels FREE show at Waterloo tomorrow night.  It starts at 7 pm.

The 4th Annual Williams Nite: A Tribute to the Music of Hank Williams and Lucinda Williams

This event will feature multiple Austin performers, including The Resentments, Shelley King, Jenny Reynolds, The Flyin’ A’s, Betty Soo and more.  It’s happening at Threadgill’s on Riverside, doors at 7 pm.  The cover is $10.

Downtown Live! Concert Series at The Belmont

This week’s installation features all-lady band The Bluebonnets.  It starts around 7 pm and as usual, it’s FREE.

The Love Language with December Boys, Matt Oliver solo (TV Torso)

Check out an indie pop show at Emo’s tomorrow night.  The doors are at 9 pm and tickets are $8.  Buy them here.

OBN IIIs, Welcome Home Walker, Ra-Ra, In Beds

WELCOME HOME WALKER this is a cool three Piece from Portland, OR. If you dig The Rubinoos, Elvis Costello, Smokey Robinson or The Clash this band will rock your boat. They’ll also be playing the International Pop Overthrow Fest this summer. The “Don’t Let Me Go” EP is ready so give a listen. They have a swinging mix of fifties and eighties styles mashed up in the power pop blender, with energetic guitars, drums and vocals.

Do it at Beerland, doors at 10 pm.

More singer-songwriter happenings at Flipnotics with this regular Wednesday gig.  It’s FREE.

Red Falcon with ZAPATA!, Broken Folk and DJ Czech One

Check out some local talent at Antone’s on Wednesday.  Doors at 9 pm and the cover is $7.

Thursday, September 16th

Ian McLagan And The Bump Band

The beloved legend will be at Lucky Lounge on Thursday.  Doors at 6 pm.

Ruby Jane

The fiddling teen prodigy will play at Lambert’s, doors at 10:30 pm.  The cost is $5.

KGSR’s Unplugged at the Grove with Jimmy LaFave

Jimmy LaFave plays the FREE music series at The Shady Grove this week.  Be there around 8 pm.

Rebirth Brass Band with Mandorico

See some New Orleans brass at Stubb’s.  Doors at 9 pm, tickets are $15.  Buy them here.
