Monday, June 14th

Josh Ritter & The Royal City Band with The Mynabirds

Check out the singer-songwriter at Antone’s tonight, doors at 8 pm.  Tickets are $15 and you can buy them here.

Harper Blynn with Ringo Deathstarr and Zlam Dunk

This is a pretty good lineup, playing at The Parish tonight.  Doors at 8 pm and tickets are $10.  Buy them here.

Lou Barlow

One of the founding members of the alt band Dinosaur Jr. will be at The Mohawk tonight along with Sarah Jaffe.  Doors at 8 pm.  Tickets are $10 and you can pick them up here.

Tuesday, June 15th

mewithoutYou with Paper Route, Rubik

Check out some experimental rock jams at Emo’s.  Doors at 7 pm and tickets are $13.  Buy them here.

Wreckless Eric and Amy Rigby

It’s taking place inside at Mohawk at 11 pm, cover is $10.

The Peterson Brothers, Blue Tuesday Band

I had the pleasure of seeing these super-talented brothers play at a family event.  Don’t miss them playing the blues at Antone’s, doors at 7 pm.  Cover is $10.

Wednesday, June 16th

Future Sounds Rumble featuring Shapes Have Fangs, Murdocks, English Teeth

Check out some Brit-influenced rock at Beerland on Wednesday.  Doors at 9 pm.

Johnny Goudie & The Little Champions, Dead Kenny Gs, Suzanna Choffel, The Deaf Ears, The Iveys

Local lineup at Momo’s.  Doors at 7 pm.

Erika Wennerstrom

The lead singer of the Heartless Bastards continues her residency at Lambert’s Wednesday at 10 pm.  Cover is $10.

Thursday, June 17th

Knuckle Rumbler presents a Wet Hot American Party with Maluca

Another DJ dance party, this time featuring Maluca, presented by Knuckle Rumbler.  $7 presale tickets when you RSVP here.  The party starts at 8 pm.

Landon Pigg with Madi Diaz

Check out some quality singer-songwriter action at Stubb’s.  Doors at 9 pm.  Tickets are $10 or $25 for VIP.  Pick them up here.

Speak, The Frontier Brothers, The Eastern Sea, and Marmalakes

This will definitely be an entertaining night of local bands.  It’s happening at The Parish, doors at 9 pm.  Tickets are $10 and you can buy them here.

Stem and Leaf Showcases and Giant Steps present Cartographers, Big Tree, Polar Optimist, Elaine Greer

The Cartographers play with local bands at the Scoot Inn.  Doors at 9 pm.

Friday, June 18th

Do512 Presents: “Girls Who Rock” with Ume, Agent Ribbons, Candi and the Strangers

Rock it!  A great event celebrating bands led by ladies.  It’s taking place at The Independent, doors at 10 pm.  Doors are $10, $5 if you RSVP here.

Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Suzanna Choffel, Erin Ivey, Daphne Adams CD Release

Some funk, jazz, and singer-songwriters at Momo’s on Friday, doors at 7 pm.

Raekwon (of Wu-Tang Clan) with Question, Crew 54, Riders Against The Storm

A night of rap and reggae at Emo’s.  Doors at 9 pm and tickets are $18.  Pick them up here.

Carolina Chocolate Drops

The Carolina Chocolate Drops are one of the most interesting new acts as of late.  They’re bringing their old soul porch music to The Parish, doors at 8 pm.  Tickets are $15 and you can buy them here.

Saturday, June 19th

José Carreras

One of the original 3 tenors comes to Bass Concert Hall.  The tickets start at $39 and you can buy them here.  Doors at 8 pm.

When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth, Cold Mold, Starring

Check out some indie rock at Beerland.  Doors at 10 pm.

Daniel Johnston, Jason Falkner, Bracket & Co., Sour Notes

Don’t miss Daniel Johnston’s only Austin appearance on Saturday at the Mohawk.  Doors at 7 pm and tickets are $12.  You can buy them here.

Concrete Blonde – 20 Years of Bloodletting with Concrete Blonde

Check out the classic alt-rock band on their 20th anniversary tour.  They’re at Emo’s, doors at 8 pm.  Tickets are $25 and you can buy them here.

Sunday, June 20th

Austin Music Foundation‘s Dad Rocks Fundraiser

From the promoter: Come celebrate Father’s Day and raise money for Austin musicians. Dad Rocks includes entertainment for the whole family on Father’s Day with local bands English Teeth and Car Stereo (Wars). Join in the photo booth fun with Annie Ray who will be taking family pictures. Austin’s favorite hotdog shop, Frank is providing food with Tiff’s Treats for dessert, Waialua Soda Works Hawaiian sodas and GoodPop Popsicles. Silent auction includes a variety of items including a pair of tickets to Austin City Limits Music Festival and Lollapalooza music festival.
