New Quiet Company EP + EP Release Show

April 15, 2010

Quiet Company, one of the local bands we worked with during SXSW, should be a familiar name by now if you’re a regular reader of this blog.  And, if you enjoyed their acoustic performance and want to hear more, there’s good news for you!  The band is releasing a six song EP, Songs for Staying In, on May 11th.  BUT, if you pre-order the CD version of Songs for Staying In for $8, you’ll get a free MP3 download of the album and the CD shipped to you on or before the release date of May 11th (the price includes shipping & handling)!  Plus, each Monday you can see a mini-video of the band discussing one of the songs on the EP on their website – so far 3 have been released.

Songs for Staying In – as the name implies – is a group of unabashed love songs, some of which were left of Quiet Company’s full-length album Everyone You Love Will Be Happy Soon (which I highly recommend you buy here for as little as $7).  If you love love, are looking to woo a gal/guy, are rejoicing nuptials, or any other such romance-based activities, you and the target of your affection will definitely enjoy Songs for Staying In.

And there’s more…Quiet Company is going to play a MASSIVE RELEASE party here in Austin on Friday, May 7th, along with other great local indie bands like The Rocketboys, STEREO IS A LIE, The Eastern Sea, and a “Special Guest”!  The big show will take place at Encore, doors at 8 pm, and tickets are $10, $25 for VIP (which comes with a host of privileges like free beer all night, a gift bag, a free MP3 download of Quiet Company’s EP and more).

You should definitely be there.  And you should also definitely check out to catch up on everything I’ve posted here.  Enjoy!
