Austin Events: February 2 – 7

So, I sincerely apologize for completely missing yesterday’s events…it was quite a crazy day.  I’m going to trust that if you were looking for something to do, you managed to find it.  Anyway, here are this week’s events all the way until Sunday!

Tuesday, February 2nd

Groundation‘s 10th Annual Bob Marley Tribute Tour

Groundation brings their 9 piece band to the Flamingo Cantina to tribute Bob Marley.  If you’re a reggae enthusiast, you shouldn’t miss this show.  Cost is $18 and doors are at 9 pm.

Nic Armstrong Residency with Friends, Enemies & Special Guests

Nic continues his semi-permanent gig at the Ghost Room, doors at 9 pm.  Contact the Ghost Room for details.

Wednesday, February 3rd

Sondre Lerche w/ JBM

Check out the Norwegian troubador at The Parish tomorrow night.  Doors are at 8 pm and tickets are $15.  Buy them here.  This promises to be a good show!

Thursday, February 4th

The Raspas, Ugly Elephant, Lux Divon

Another reggae show at Ruta Maya and it begins at 9 pm.

The Austin Electronic Music GRID presents live electronics

This is a FREE weekly event at Plush promoting dance, industrial, experimental electronic, experimental rock bands and DJ’s.  Check it out starting at 9 pm.

Friday, February 5th

Knuckle Rumbler Presents Adi Fest 2.5

One of the coolest Austin bloggers brings a really fun event to Beauty Bar, featuring Jimi Hendrix , ZZ Top, and Queen tribute bands.  Doors are at 8 pm and you can RSVP here for a $5 entry.

Anton Kuerti

Class up your early weekend with some amazing classical piano played by one of the world’s foremost pianists.  It’s at the McCullough Theatre on campus.  Tickets are $29 and the doors open at 8 pm.  Get your tix here.

Saturday, February 6th

Casual Victim Pile: Harlem, Golden Boys, Bad Sports, Love Collector, Stuffies, Lost Controls

Check this show out at Beerland, doors at 10 pm.  Contact Beerland for cost.

Dirty Dozen Brass Band – My Feet Can’t Fail Me Now 2010

This should be a good time.  It’s taking place at Stubb’s, doors at 9 pm, tickets are $15 and you can buy them here.

Sunday, February 7th

Regression: Retro Eighties w/ DJ Pumpkin Spice

Insanely popular 80s night every Sunday at the Elysium.  Doors at 7 pm.

Black, Red & Black w/ Ephraim Owens, Brannen Temple, & Red Young

It’s the Sunday jazz night at Lambert’s and it’s FREE!  Check it out at 7 pm.
