Tons of music stuff going on this weekend.  What’s your plan?

This will be taking place at Lucky Lounge, doors are at 6 pm.  Call for cover details.

Siouxsie Sioux tribute night

DJ None will be spinning songs from Siouxsie & the Banshees, The Creatures, Sex Pistols, and more at the Elysium.  Doors open at 9 pm and it’s FREE to get in!

A Tribute To Jay Z

Yes, there’s more!  Friday, Saturday and Sunday (including reggae, Band of Heathens, and Asleep at the Wheel) after the jump!

Friday, December 18th

Big D And The Kid’s Table, Hardproof Afrobeat

Boston ska band Big D makes an appearance at the Flamingo Cantina Friday.  Doors are at 9 and the cover is $10.  Looks like a fun one!

Asleep At The Wheel

Check out that video huh?  Before playing the closing night of the new Zilker Tree Light Festival Thing, Asleep at the Wheel is going to rock the Broken Spoke.  Doors at 9 pm, call for cover price.

Givers w/ The Lemurs and The Laughing

The Givers are fresh off a tour supporting the Dirty Projectors and play an Austin show with The Lemurs Friday night at The Parish.  If you like indie-alt bands, this is your show!!  Doors open at 9:30 pm, call for details on tix.

Saturday, December 19th

Band of Heathens

They’ll be playing at the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar (for some reason!) at 9 pm.  Cost to get in is only $6, the cost for getting into the Bazaar!  Show up early if you want to see this band!

The Eggmen

Check out their website, first of all, but then catch their show at Jovita’s on Saturday at 7 pm.  Cost is $8.

Strings Attached With Eliza Gilkyson

This is probably going to be a fantastic set.  Check it out at Central Presbyterian Church at 8 pm.  Call for cost.

Sunday, December 20th

Joe Purdy, Erin Ivey

Cap off a music-filled weekend with a folk show at Stubb’s.  Doors open at 9 pm and tickets are $12-$14.  Pick them up here.
